Restrained geometry grows out of the observation of a living organism; for all its structural rigour, it retains an affinity with animal form. Where the geometric planes meet, a red growth emerges, fused into the structure and becoming an integral part of it. Its presence can be read as a symbol of that which enters an established order, transforms it and is ultimately absorbed by that very order. “Synergy” thus speaks of the coexistence of different orders that, through mutual influence, do not remain unchanged. Their encounter transforms both the existing structure and the element that enters it. Synergy thereby becomes a process of continual adaptation, tension and reciprocal influence.
